Blue Jay

I was walking through campus on day and saw this blue jay. I said what the hell, I'll try to take a few shots of it. None of them came out terribly well because my zoom is inadequate.

S Curve in the sidewalk

I saw this S Curve in the sidewalk and it made me thing of the packet for this week. These shots were taken only in order to capture that effect.

Black and White Part IV

This shot is of a few friends of mine while watching a movie. It combines varying colors and lighting. The photos are Grey Scale, Desaturated, and Original respectively.

Black and White Part III

For day three of BW, I figured it would be good to experiment with something that involved color and lighting. Taking a random picture from the front seat of a car just seemed to work well toward that end. The shots are Grey Scale, Desaturated, and Original respectively. Note how the break lights and the traffic lights looks different in the two BWs.

Black and White Part II

These black and whites are of a puddle on a windy day. I tried to get the cotton candy effect going, but the shots looked over exposed. The photos are Grey Scale, Desaturated, and Original respectively.

Black and White

Two of these images have been turned black and white through photoshop. However, the top one was done so through the Grey Scale tool, and the other through the Desaturate tool. You can see a minor difference between them. Beneath them is the original image.

Shutter Speed

These shots demonstrate shutter speed. The subject is tossing an orange into the air and catching it. The first three images were captured under a 1 second shutter speed. In contrast, the last two are images captured under normal shutter speed. ISO, aperture, and white balance were constant in all shots.
